Fashion Design Department of DIA organized a number of market visits/industry connect in 2017 to different places in order to give the students a real world experience with materials, craftsman ship, techniques etc.
Delhi Haat : To understand the material techniques and craftsmanship of different craftworks and realise the importance of Indian heritage.










HP Singh store in Nehru Place: where students experienced the touch and feel and costing of different fabrics.

To Seelampur where they saw The fabric export process and realised the difference between wholesale and retail markets.

To trade fairs where the students came across the culture of different countries.















Nitra to understand how fabric is made from fibres and different machines involved in the process.










Various workshops/competitions/more market visits were also organised by the same team:
Students participated in the acid attack fashion show on ninth of December 2017, draped garments were displayed on acid attack survivor‘s.

LG organized Uniform design competition where our students participated to compete with each other and other design school participants to create a uniform for LG employs.

For the Jaipur gharana fashion show our students showed a lot of zeal and created head gears for the models on the ramp.
The regional manager of Tommy Hilfiger took a career counseling session in the college Premises and which was followed by a recruitment procedure was set up for our students. We are pleased to announce that one of our fourth year students has been selected already and will be joining shortly.
